EDUCATION
Samuel Owuor is Associate Professor in Urban Geography at the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, University of Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a PhD in Human Geography from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He is a scholar with extensive national and international experience, exposure and networks. He has, over the years, demonstrated an impressive track record in scientific and policy-directed research, publications, international collaborations, teaching, and supervision of graduate students. His research interest and experience revolves around broad and specific issues in urban development, governance and management; urban poverty, livelihoods and food security; and urban-rural links. In addition, he has excellent leadership and management skills. He has coordinated several collaborative research projects and served as Head of the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies.
